We have two men who have been found to meet the requirements as outlined in the New Testament to be appointed as elders in our congregation.
1 Timothy 3: 1-7 and Titus 1: 6-9
Jim Lee

Having been raised in a home by christian parents, Hubert & Irene Lee, Jim obeyed the gospel at the age of 16. Soon after he was baptized, Jim had the opportunity to fulfill his desire to preach. Several preachers in the area allowed Jim to fill in during their absence or made opportunitiy for him to preach as often as possible. He will be forever grateful to brethren like Glen Murphy, Estin Vanderver, and Charlie Graham for giving him the opportunity to begin preaching at such a young age. Jim's wife, Sandi learned the truth from her aunt Vivan Hatfield and was baptized in 1969. Jim and Sandi were married in 1972 and they have three sons; Josh, Adam and Zack. Jim was appointed to the eldership in 2006 and has met the challenges with humilty and considers this responsibility to be his way of fulfilling God's work.
Bill Matthews

Bill has worked at Good Samaritan Hospital for 34 years. He currently is working in the Heart and Vascular Hospital as a Medical Assistant.Bill has been a christian since 1974 and was appointed to the eldership in 2006. He has been blessed with a faithful christian wife, Kyung Ja (kay), and they been married for 33 years. They have three son who are all members of the Lord's church. Steven, Daniel, and Nathan. Bill feels priviledged to be able to serve Englewood as one of it's elders.

Dave Blackmore

Dave has been a Christian since 1988, and a deacon at the Englewood church of Christ since 2006. He lives in Trotwood with his wife Ruthan. They have three sons; Brad, Brian, and Thomas, all of whom have been baptised. As a deacon, Dave's responsibilities include teaching and overseeing the building and grounds maintenance. he is also an evangelistic group leader and the Treasurer for our congregation.
Steven Matthews

Steven has been a Christian since September of 1998, and a deacon at the Englewood church of Christ since 2006. He lives in Brookville with his wife Nicole and their daughter Alexis.
Steven has attended Englewood ever since he can remember. As a deacon his duties include scheduling the mens duties for our worship services, he is editor of the weekly bulletin and yearly directory, he coordinates the prayer and song services, is an evangelistic group leader and teaches the high school class.
Steven is a sports writer for The Pulse-Journal newspaper in Liberty Twp., OH, where he has worked since May of 2003.
While his interests include spending time with his family and sports, Steven considers serving as a deacon at the only congregation he has ever known an honor and a privilege.
Mike Walker

Mike has been a christian since February of 2002, and a deacon at the Englewood church of Christ since 2006. He and his wife Debra were married in 1992 and live in Riverside. Mike has 12 children; Michael, Jessica, Jonathan, Jasmine, Jacob, Jenna, Justice, Joey, Jordan, Josie, Jackson, and Jacee. Mike's duties as a deacon include maintaining the web site, recording the Sunday worship services and gospel meetings, making audio CD's of the recordings, and teaching. Mike works as a CNC Programmer/Designer at DEW Technologies. Mike's interests include playing golf, computers, and spending time with his wife and children. Mike considers serving as a deacon an honor and priviledge.
